Kicking off today in Los Angeles, the Electronic Entertainment Expo has already seen a slew of announcements about new devices and games from Microsoft, Sony Playstation, Alienware, Dell, and Razer, among others. Being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the 23rd annual E3 Expo is open to the public for the first time this year. The event runs through Thursday.

Yesterday's PC Gaming Show at the E3 Expo included news about a number of new games for Microsoft's Xbox. To mark the 20th anniversary of Age of Empires, Microsoft said it will be coming out with an update, called Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, exclusively for Windows 10. Online sign ups are now underway for a closed beta that's "coming soon."

Among the other new Windows 10 titles arriving for Xbox will be Forza Motorsport 7 and Sea of Thieves. Microsoft has made numerous updates to improve gamers' experiences on PCs, including 4K support, a 21:9 aspect ratio, and uncapped framerates and refresh rates, Kevin Unangst, senior director for PC gaming at Xbox, said in a blog post yesterday.

Origin PC has also unveiled a new Windows 10 laptop designed for gaming: the EVO15-S. Featuring a 7th-generation Intel core processor, the laptop incorporates Microsoft's latest Windows 10 Creators Update and supports Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1070 desktop graphics.

Beginning June 27, Alienware plans to offer Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1080 with Max-Q technology with the release of its new 15.6-inch Alienware 15 notebook. Pricing information is not yet available.

Other coming releases from Alienware include a 25-inch gaming monitor starting at $499, an $89.99 Advanced Gaming Keyboard, a $119.99 Pro Gaming Keyboard, and two new editions of its gaming mouse.

In addition to announcing its PS4 and game sales milestones, Sony Interactive Entertainment said yesterday that it plans to release several "highly anticipated" games this year, including Destiny 2, Star Wars Battlefront II, Gran Turismo Sport, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Additional games from independent developers will include Pyre from Supergiant Games and Absolver from Devolver Digital.

Xbox One and PS4 gamers can expect to see new wireless headsets from Razer, which announced the coming release of its Razer Thresher Ultimate headsets with Dolby 7.1 surround sound and PC compatibility. Set to ship begin later this month, the headset is priced starting at $249.99.
